On the occasion of this anniversary, the Centre Pompidou and the Centre-Val de Loire region join forces to organize an event of exceptional scale. From the 1930s, Calder established himself as one of the greatest modern sculptors with his mobiles, hanging sculptures in constant motion. Very attached to France throughout his life, he bought a house in 1954 in the village of Saché where he later built his large studio overlooking the Indre Valley.
