On the occasion of the Gustave Charpentier exhibition (1860-1953), this cycle of lectures explores the figure of the female worker from the perspective of social and gender relations. From October 2026 to January 2027, the Bibliothèque historique will present an exhibition on the Montmartre-based composer Gustave Charpentier (1860-1956), whose archive and manuscript collection it preserves. A cycle of three evenings — Wednesdays 4 November, 9 or 16 December and 6 January — consisting of lectures, readings and a round table will accompany this exhibition.
